Amateur Radio Training and Assessment Weekends - 2025/26

Becoming an amateur radio operator is easy with the Foundation entry level qualification. There is no morse code to learn, you don't need technical qualifications, no age limits and no ongoing fees.

Training and assessment weekends will be held during 2025/26, so you can qualify to become an amateur radio operator, or upgrade your existing qualification. Amateur Radio  qualification weekends are conducted by The St George Amateur Radio Society (SGARS) at Sutherland and by Amateur Radio New South Wales (ARNSW) at Dural.
