Upgrade your Qualification to Standard or Advanced Level

Assessments for the Standard and Advanced level amateur radio qualification include the following;

  • Theory at either standard or advanced level,
  • Regulations which is common for both levels,
  • Practical (setup and safe operation), unless the candidate is already a holder of either a foundation level or standard level qualification, issued on or after October 2005. Upgrade candidates holding a Novice (NAOCP) qualification, issued prior to October 2005, will need to be assessed by a qualified assessor, for competancy in practical setup and safe operation of amateur radio equipment.
